Alyssa and John brought style, fun and flair to their engagement session in June. Alyssa is a woman with a vision and she absolutely nailed it... She and John had specific locations figured out for their engagement session that are special to their relationship - Whitnall Park & Atwater Beach, both spots are equipped with lots of beauty. Greenery, bridges, trees, river, Lake Michigan, sandy beaches and fields!! What more do you need for a deluxe engagement photo shoot?! Oh, a cute little pup, you say... well, they brought their pooch along for the fun also! :D
John and Alyssa are tying the knot at a Lake Country church next summer and they're hosting their reception at the ever elegant Golden Mast Inn on Okauchee Lake. I cannot wait to see what this lovely couple has in store for their big day... if Alyssa's wedding dress is at all reflective of the awesome outfits she selected for herself for the couple's engagement session, we will all be in for a real treat! Lord knows, I'm a sucker for lace!

As the sun sank below the horizon, the mood of the shoot changed to a more romantic, sultry feel. To reflect this, I changed up my editing style to a more "dark & moody" rather than true to life color scheme. As a photographer, it's important to be able to edit in a variety of styles to suit all client needs. I absolutely LOVE true to life colors but can't help but play with some sexy & sultry glamour when the time is right... in my opinion, this next series of images was perfection showcasing a bit more moodiness!
