Alright, ladies & gents!
Welcome to the wedding of John & Alyssa! I just loved photographing this celebration... A first look with dad, a first look with bride & groom, a wedding party pontoon expedition on Okauchee Lake and a gorgeous gaggle of people celebrating alongside a fabulous couple!! The couple's nuptials were exchanged at St. Charles Catholic Church in Hartland, WI and their reception festivities were unleashed at the Golden Mast in Okauchee!
Ok, let's jump into the First Look between Alyssa & her dad... it's a trend I'm seeing more and more, and I'm totally here for it. I absolutely love that this component of a wedding day brings out the emotions for dad and his little lady right off the bat... such great memories to look back on!! Cue the tears in 5, 4, 3, 2 1....

Shall we move onto the First Look between bride & groom? The set-up for John and Alyssa's First Look was the same as the father/daughter First Look, but you always have creative liberty to arrange whatever type of backdrop you want for these types of photo opps! I love brainstorming and being an active part of the planning process for my couples!
The debate between a First Look and keeping things traditional continues to persist... many couples opt to do a First Look because it can assist with the overall logistics of the day. Taking care of some portraits prior to the ceremony may allow the couple more time with their guests during cocktail hour, when formal photos typically take place. Keeping things traditional is always a viable option as I know that walking down the aisle to your groom is what fairytale dreams are made of! I'm flexible and happy to accommodate either scenario for my couples!

I love a combination of photography styles on a wedding day and try to incorporate a bit of everything to ensure a robust, beautify final gallery. Posed images are a must, but I love acting as a fly on the wall, capturing organic moments as they unfold.
