Engagement photography is one of my favorite genres. As a wedding photographer over the past 10 years, I've had the privilege of photographing many couples who are madly in love. Of course I love photographing the festivities on the actual wedding day, but there is something extra special about having the opportunity to spend some intimate, one-on-one time with the happy couple long before the wedding day arrives. An engagement session usually takes place shortly after the proposal, while the fizz from the champagne bubbles is still going strong. Wedding planning is probably underway, but the excitement just from the proposal is still palpable. Giddy laughs, lots of snuggles and playful banter allow us to get to know each other in a low-stakes environment. The result: amazing engagement portraits that you will SERIOUSLY cherish forever ... if you really believe you're doing this whole marriage thing once, why not celebrate it that way?
