When Maci inquired, she shared that she and her fiancé, Kyle, are planning a September wedding in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin at The Riviera. Her mood board and wedding aesthetic revealed that she was targeting a timeless, simple elegance for their special day.

During our in-depth consultation, I learned that the happy couple are living a true-life fairytale, with a romantic surprise proposal in Florence, Italy... at the Boboli Gardens of all luxurious locations! With a desire to stay true to the allure of the Italian aesthetic, the couple decided to host their wedding at The Riviera, a glamorous Wisconsin ballroom set in the picturesque town of Lake Geneva. The archways, pillars and opulent chandelier set the stage for an elegant wedding celebration...not to mention the beauty of Lake Geneva itself, sure to enchant their wedding guests.

After our discussion we quickly learned that we would be a great a great fit! Maci is creative, fashion-forward & spontaneous, while Kyle is more rational and grounded. By day, Maci employs her expert styling and staging skills as a Listing Manager while Kyle brings his analytical skillset to the forefront as an engineer. By night, the couple enjoys traveling, spending time with their adorable pomsky, Theo, and trying all sorts of new recipes as self-proclaimed "foodies". My kind of people!

With our wedding photography agreement set in place, Maci quickly changed her focus to planning an epic engagement session. Desired elements to showcase: Fashion, style, history, art, architecture, Italy. I could not have been more delighted to have her paint the picture she had in her mind's eye! She was channeling flair & style, a nostalgic editorial vibe. Kyle & Maci's wardrobe selection brought the word "presidential" to life, featuring Kyle in a cashmere sweater and Maci in a classic cream colored dress paired with chic designer Manolo Blahnik heels. Later on in the session, Maci donned a headscarf, bringing her taste in vintage fashion to another level. Villa Terrace is easily one of the best locations in Milwaukee for engagement photos. Instead of traveling to Italy for your engagement photos, consider venturing to Villa Terrace to capture all of the rich Mediterranean style backdrops to celebrate your engagement. The lush garden courtyard featuring a magnificent statue of Mercury, the interior library equipped with lavish furniture, exquisite art and studious appeal, and finally the expansive terrace overlooking Lake Michigan were the main areas of the museum we used as backdrops. Our engagement session took place on a rainy day, which truly only enhanced the nostalgic feelings of yesteryear.
