Richfield Newborn & Family Photography Session | Milwaukee Newborn Photographer

This gorgeous family recently settled down in Richfield, WI and welcomed their third little one to the party. We first opted to capture some newborn photos indoors. Allowing the kiddos to warm up a bit in their natural environment results in great, unposed photos. I believe in family centered newborn photography. Of course I love a little baby in a basket just as much as the next person but I really find that the love emanates greater when imagery of the baby incorporates those who love him or her. It's about the interactions and the special bonds that are in their earliest phases. Moments and snuggles that are meant to be documented and cherished as the little one grows and evolves.

I have had the honor of photographing this family a number of times and each session is better than the last. It's not about perfectly posed, everyone smiling at the camera portraits. It's about capturing the dynamics of your family as they actually are. Encourage snuggles and kisses and tickles and hugs and watch as the love creates beautiful snapshots of what you hold so dear.

I love to use light and shadow to evoke emotion when I'm photographing families and newborns. A good b&w shot pulls at all of my heart strings. Bold color calls to me, too! You'll end up with a wide variety of images that will tell the entire story of our time together.

After some in-home newborn photos, we moved outside for some playtime and enjoyed more family hugs and snuggles laid out on the grass. Get yourselves barefoot, run around a bit, play... movement and interactions are always going to win out on perfectly staged photos. Let 'em be wild and young and shake off the cobwebs that adulthood brings forth. Have fun with your littles and let me come along for the ride with my trusty camera in hand.
