There's something about the fresh air, the green grass, the sound of birds chirping & the sun shining that aligns so well with newborn babies. I love photographing in-home newborn photography sessions but the past couple of years I have been encouraging clients with an affinity for the outdoors to opt outside for their newborn photoshoot. Add in a lacy, crocheted blanket, bare-feet and some tall grass and you've got a recipe for some beautiful, organic, naturally inspiring newborn photos. I love to incorporate the rest of the family in my newborn photography work. I believe that it tells the whole story to have older siblings in on the fun... it gives context to just how tiny the new baby is. It is a testament to the continued growth of the family. It is an opportunity to snuggle up not just on your newest addition, but your other babies, too. I'm happy to venture to your house for a newborn photoshoot... the outdoor newborn photography session in Hartford, WI below was a delight. My husband and I have 8 acres of countryside featuring mature pines, rolling fields, sunflowers, zinnias & other wildflowers in addition to the more rustic aesthetic of an old farm... rusty corrugated steel, vintage wooden sheds and brick.
