Jensen + Griffen, a fun-loving, video game playing couple who enjoys snuggles with their cat and lazy afternoon naps hosted their sun-kissed August wedding at Mercantile Hall in Burlington, WI. If you are a couple looking for wedding venues near Milwaukee, consider Mercantile Hall for both your ceremony and reception. This industrial wedding venue is charming and full of character. Their main event space consists of cream city brick, exposed duct work, expansive vaulted ceilings, magical Edison lights and floor to ceiling windows that allow for beautiful natural light photography. Outside, venture to the Urb Garden. Couples can host an outdoor wedding ceremony under a rustic pergola, surrounded by lush green vines, cream city brick and a custom-made iron gate. During cocktail hour, guests can mingle and order drinks from the famous Susanna Camper Bar!! Garden inspired wedding ceremony? Check! As a photographer, Mercantile Hall is a gem! I love all of the unique elements highlighted above but I also love the small-town feel. Running through the streets of Burlington will lead you to an amazing fire escape covered in cascading green ivy... it's a must stop in order to capture dreamy wedding portraits!
I loved the jewel tone bridesmaid dresses and easy going members of the wedding party. We took advantage of the iconic blue wall just outside of Mercantile Hall by setting up a First Look between Jensen + Griffen followed by wedding party portraits prior to the ceremony. I especially loved the timeline that we put together for this wedding as it allowed for ample time to collaborate creatively before the ceremony even began. Post ceremony, we took 20 minutes for family portraits and the happy couple was able to indulge in their cocktail hour. A win win!
Jensen was radiant throughout the day, her bright smile serving as a permanent accessory. Griffen, a jokester, kept us all laughing! Whimsical, lighthearted and vivacious are just a few words to describe the newlyweds and their special day.
Jensen was especially excited to incorporate a pastel blue vintage settee from Gertrude & Evelyn Vintage Rentals into the wedding photos. Adding photography props creates interest and opportunity to do something a little different. We were able to leverage the settee for First Look photos as well as wedding party photos. Take a peek below to conjure up some wedding photo inspiration for your own big day!!
Jensen + Griffen embraced every aspect of their Wisconsin wedding celebration and were gifted with a vibrant rainbow to close out the night!
